  3. During the 1990s I worked near St Paul’s and would go into the gardens some lunch hours to stroll and sit and watch the tourists. Looks like a lot has changed but St Paul’s still rises magnificently. Thank you for sharing this….brings back many memories now that I am living half a world away…yet once a Londoner, always….

  4. The color here is very cool, and I love how you captured the ultra-modern building on the bottom, to contrast with all the very old.

    • Hi Lars…glad you like it! What I especially like about London is that contrast between ultra-modern and ancient. Not always successful but very interesting. 😉

PS. which camera are you using? I’m looking for a DSLR myself and plan to do similar kind of photography. Would really appreciate some inputs! Thanks!

    • What kind of equipment…this depends on what do you expect from a camera and lenses and how much money you want to invest. I would’nt recommend a particular model or brand. I think the best is to seek advice in a good photographic shop where you can test different cameras and find out which you like best.

  6. European cities are just so dense … with buildings, streets, people, history. Their geography, through history, drew close, whereas in North America, with all our space and coming so late to the game of building cities, we spread out — and up!

This is such a beautiful shot of London, among the world’s densest cities.

    • Hi Patrick…and thank you so much for your nice and thoughtful comment! London is sure a dense city… and it’s growing from year to year. As I heard, there are about 250 skyscrapers in planning for the next few years…it seems to me that everybody wants to live in London.

    • Hi Mary…thanks for the nice comment! The Sky Garden is a very tall building in London with several restaurants on the top. It’s open from 10am to 6pm. You can book the access through a booking system. There are more informations in the internet under the heading ‘Sky Garden’.
