Christmas 2021.

Dear Friends,

A contemplative Christmas with a few days of rest,

time for small walks, time for yourself and your family,

time to gather strength and new ideas for the next year.

A year with less worries, less stress, more success and health,

everything you need to stay content and happy – that’s what I wish you from the bottom of my heart!

Thanks for all kind support and feedback.

I look forward to see you again next year!

  1. Dear Josephine, your „sky“ composition is a frightening one, and I don’t know what to make of it. somehow, it has a dark facination. one leaves it, comes back. the boys seem to be completely absorbed in the question, what is under the surface? they do expect a lot, and perhaps rightfully so, for there is that thin thread connecting things above and things below. Thread forming the word „sky“, by chance? but the ground and the background! full of that angry red! and even that little edge of blue in the upper right corner seems to announce a threatening thunderstorm, it is more black than blue. or else, we are simply looking at the remains of scattered christmas wrappings, thrown away eagerly, to get the presents. the things thrown away have their own life, and they gather and wait for us, they will come over us, sooner or later. the whole thing seems to pose an unanswerable question. it’s exactly the unanswerable questions that never come to rest.
Wish you a great new year, full of excitement and discoveries. full of questions, above all. questions are better than answers, far far better. Best wishes, Peter (von Mundenheim)

  2. Beautiful words and gosh I really do hope 2022 will be a better year than 2021 relating to covid, but then things aren’t looking too good at the moment 😦

  3. Josephine, best wishes to you from your fan in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. I am always glad to see a new post of yours. It will always be startling, and most often mysteriously uplifting, with some combination of elements that is utterly unique. I love the way you see and tell, and leave it to us to take up the loose end of the storytelling and find more of the story within ourselves.
Best wishes for a fine Holiday season, and here is hoping that 2022 is your best year yet. And more images please. πŸ™‚

  7. Merry Christmas to you too Josephine, may next year be a happy, healthy and creative year for all of us! Just want to let you know how much I enjoy each and every piece of your artwork. Love them all, but this one is even more special because the title is my daughter’s name. πŸ™‚

  8. Thank you for the great posts through out the year. The art and the colors are spectacular. The themes often thought inspiring. You too, be blessed for another good and rewarding year!

  9. This is gorgeous — the colours like the skies of those vast landscapes in 19th-century paintings with Old Testament themes, but there is tender emotion in the foreground figures.
