I am currently working on some Medieval landscapes… Any recommendations for parts of cities, London or other, that you have visited that have very old buildings or resources that may have reference photography from long ago?
So here are six places in London what could be interesting for you: ‘St Dunstan-in-the-West’, Fleet Street. Traditionally Neo-Gothic building, built between 988 and 1070 AD. Removed in the early 19th century and rebuilt in 1831. ‘Christ Church Greyfriars’, established as a monastic church in the thirteen century. Destruction in the Great Fire of London of 1666, rebuilt in 1687. ‘St Pancras Old Church’, Pancras Road. ‘Southwark Cathedral’, a Gothic Church, built between 1220 and 1420. ‘Temple Church’, built by the Knights Templar, a late 12th-century church between Fleet Street and River Thames. ‘Lambeth Place’, the official London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was acquired by the archbishopric around 1200 AD. I hope that I found something of interest for you…. 🙂

Your shot is very good, made me think of Chaplin’s Modern times.
